Begin Again Ministries (BAM), a registered 501c3 charity, in cooperation with SALDCO, and the Harrell Family Trust has committed their time and funds to initiate this effort.
To date, BAM has purchased approximately $30,000 worth of food, water, medical supplies, personal hygiene products and twelve (12) portable generators.
Additionally BAM has purchased a $60,000 – 4,000 gallon per day (gpd) seawater reverse osmosis unit with a 500 lb/day ice maker and a 30 kW generator mounted on a trailer for portability and has placed a second unit on order.
Once water is reestablished in South Abaco, we are committed to working with Water and Sewer to deploy these units to those areas in need in the northern Bahamas.
BAM’s commitment does not end there. We are committed to purchasing and providing one hundred portable generators and at least ten additional seawater RO units. This addresses the need for water and temporary power.
It, however, does not address the ongoing need for food, medical supplies, and everyday items that we have access to readily.
